Cleaning / Washing

In accordance with the protection class for wash-tight relays, RT III, the relays can be washed in a suitable cleaning medium. For environmental reasons, we recommend not cleaning the assemblies. Should cleaning be necessary for certain reasons, the following procedural criteria must be observed:

• Cool down the assembly as previously described.
• The temperature of the washing medium should not exceed 55 °C and the washing time should be as short as possible (e.g. 2 min).
• Do not use ultrasonic cleaning to avoid possible contact adhesion.
• Do not use cleaning additives. If a detergent is used, make sure that it does not damage the relay or the seal.
