Frequency monitor
One of the many areas of application of the frequency monitor is monitoring the output frequency of drive inverters. In the event of overfrequency, underfrequency or violation of the set window range, the frequency monitor switches off safely and plays to its strengths compared to frequency inverters with integrated safety functions when simplicity, flexibility and safety are required in equal measure.
Depending on the operating mode of the machine, one of the maximum four pre-configured parameter sets can be safely selected via input terminals. In automatic mode, for example, this can prevent excessive speeds that could cause a dangerous situation and result in total machine failure. In set-up mode, the machine builder does not have to switch off the machine completely, but can minimise the risk with reduced speeds and carry out processes more efficiently. In this way, the frequency monitor increases the safety of the employees and the efficiency of the machines.
Implementing high safety economically, the UH 6937 frequency monitor from the SAFEMASTER S series creates new possibilities for design, planning and retrofitting in machine safety, e.g. in woodworking or machine tools.
