Switch off in an emergency

Emergency action intended to cut off the supply of electrical energy to all or part of an installation if there is a risk of electric shock or any other risk of electrical origin [IEC / DIN EN 60204-1/121.98 Annex D].

It is intended to avert or reduce emerging or existing hazards to persons and damage to the machine, the work material or the environment.
