Emergency stop
Emergency stop is switching off the corresponding energy supply with electromechanical switching devices (stop category 0). If stop category 0 is not permissible for the machine, other measures such as protection against direct contact may be necessary instead. If there is a possibility of danger or damage as well as protection against direct contact only by distance or obstacles in front of electrical energy, emergency stop should be provided.
